Hi Myriam. Thank you for your comment - I'm glad that you are enjoying the blog. We would definitely recommend travelling South America, whether you choose to do it independently or with a tour. For our part we are doing our whole trip independently and a month in, after covering Chile, Argentina and Bolivia, we have had absolutely no problems (even with our very limited Spanish). I think the main difference is in the time commitment. Travelling alone allows you more flexibility and the opportunity to get off the beaten track but that can also mean a lot of wrong turns and long bus journeys. From what I can see organised tours seem to be of the whistle-stop variety so you get to see all of the attractions but with none of the hassle (or flexibliity). Danger-wise we have rarely felt threatened in South America and I think the main threat is in pickpockets and bags going missing on buses - a worldwide issue.

If you are looking for an adventure I would definitely say do it alone but do your research (Trailfinders are a good source of information) and make sure that you are not trying to do too much in too little time. Spanish is an easy enough language to pick up and lessons are easy to come by, and cheap, in most South American countries. Pointing and urgently gesturing has been working fine for us so far.

Hope this is helpful - happy travels!

Hi Naveen.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Creating a simple gallery on a wordpres blog is easy.
I've used the simple gallery set up within wordpress to create each individual location page. These galleries are then linked to a thumbnail image on the overall gallery page.

For example, I created a page called Thailand. I then created a sub-page of this page called Bangkok. The gallery widget is inserted on to the Bangkok page. I then placed a thumbnail on the Thailand page and linked it to the bangkok page. These steps are repeated for each location I visit.

When planning your gallery it may help to plan it on paper. This saves time waiting on internet connections.

I hope this helps.
